My name is James Banks and I am a husband, father and a painter, living in the Cotswolds.  At the age of 50, I found my calling.  I have become obsessed with painting since.  I've thrown myself into growing as an artist and find particularly joy in painting animals, especially horses.  Painting has changed my life and there is nothing more satisfying than battling with the brushes and creating something that will bring some happiness to others.  I work in oil and pastel and to try to capture the beauty I see.  I'm pretty new to all of this and am committed to making this calling work as a profession.  I would love for you to join me on my journey by following me on instagram or by reading my blogs.   I would also love for you to be the first to see my latest work so please do subscribe to my mailing list.
